“A Cosmic Religion will be the Religion of the future” – Einstein

I like the fact that I’ve (& Many people) have had these two things come naturally to us as if it was apart of using the organs of the body. Cosmic fasinations, and Spiritual fasinations. Can it really get any better than that for a person? :S

The other main issue is what makes human consciousness so special. I would assume that the consciousness of a cat or even an insect would cause the universe to exist just the same. But ultimately I don’t think Quantum Physics implies that human consciousness causes the universe to exist. It only allows it to be observed in all it’s unpredictable deeply interconnected splendor.

Excellent video! Well produced and researched. However, the part with the apple subtly implies that the apple is a particle. This portion of the discussion then goes on to imply that somehow Human consciousness affects the state of the universe. I think what the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle actually implies is that it is an intrinsic quality of the universe to be probabilistic and when you attempt to measure the precise position of a particle, then you cannot measure it momentum.

whats the first song in the vid?

homousios December 19, 2009 at 8:18 am

Buddhism is a very sane way to view our existence and this video as well as the second part made me realize that what Richard Dawkins called “Einstenian Relegion” is perhaps this. Thanks!

Thank you!

The pages of the book (emptiness) does not exist on its own. Emptiness is form and form is emptiness. Emptiness (bank page) can only exist in cooperation with form (words). Emptiness is not an independent identity, like space. Just thought I would clarify that.

as a buddhist i appreciate ur effort .well done sir.but still science is nothing in front of buddhism.when u practice buddhism….once u experience this complex fabrication of mentality and materiality by practicing meditation u will see all what we think about this universe is a dilusion..buddha not only explained it he showed a path to get rid of this vicious cycle of birth and death(break the cause and effect cycle)…thanks

Greco-Buddhism, sometimes spelt Graeco-Buddhism, refers to the cultural syncretism between Hellenistic culture and Buddhism, which developed between the 4th century BCE and the 5th century CE
